ABOUT THE INN
Overnights in our home
The Sleepy Paws Inn, a Paws in Bloom Pet Care service, is a growing collection of small, cozy doggy bed and breakfasts, with multiple host locations throughout the greater Hockessin area. We’re not a traditional kennel. Your dog stays in a real home, gets exceptional care and is treated like a member of our own family.
Guests must be dog-friendly, but pups who prefer not to play much, like many seniors, are welcome. The only thing you need to bring is your dog’s food, plus a favorite bed or blanket if you like. Let us know about any food allergies and house rules, and we’ll keep things consistent during the stay. Prefer care in your own home? See Overnight Care.

Cat suites at the Sleepy Paws Inn
We get so many requests to board cats that we’re making room for them. Sometime in 2027, cats will be welcome in a private bedroom suite of their own, complete with toys, cat trees, window beds and more.
Cats are highly territorial, so boarded cats won’t have playtime with other cats. We still believe most cats are happiest in their own home, where our in-home pet sitting visits are a great fit, but we understand that isn’t always an option.
Coming with your dog? Cats who board alongside their canine family get 20% off. Cats stay in their suite, and your whole family of pets is welcome to spend time together there.
